In 1989, President Scott Siddall established the Student Endowment Fund (SEF) to help ensure a strong future for shellfish production, research and management. The SEF provides financial assistance to students to attend the annual conference where they can meet and mingle with senior scientists, resource managers, and shellfish producers. Recruits, as we like to call our student members, are trained in the technical aspects of scientific research, resource management and shellfish production. The Annual conference provides a valuable opportunity for them to discuss research, make new connections and arrange for future employment.

In Celebration of our Centennial many of you contributed to the SEF Capital Campaign directly or when you renewed your membership.  This support increased the total fund by more than 50%.
