Is anyone else working on mussel populations growing on soft sediment? I am looking at ecosystem services and habitat values of Perna canaliculus in the Hauraki Gulf of Auckland, New Zealand. We used to have huge areas of mussels growing on soft sediment, these were virtually wiped out through dredging and have not returned.
